As discussed in another topic i decided to make a move and create something. Feel free to add / surgest other rules.

Anyway a few things to think of. Watch the size of your pictures so they don't need to be re-sized by a mod. Pictures must be of your own or you should have permission to post other persons photos.

[Mod note: Corrected typo in title. - BDC]

Topic for November - Your favorite railway pictures.

And here are my few modeling ones.

The first is my first layout that has been past on to my friends son.

The second is of our club N scale layout. An Australian inter-modal train crossing a viaduct.

Third - A string of LCH 4 wheel coal coppers awaiting in cooper creek passing loop on our club layout.

The Last two are of Australian Locomotives i shot last year some time.

The Silver Loco is a Danish Railways MZ type imported second-hand and modified for local use and a pacific national 81 class.

Well, I offer you my congratulations for taking the bull by the horns and getting things done! After all, that's the real way to do things!

I hope it works out and a lot of other members respond with their pictures.

BTW, your comment about image sizes is a really good one! Thank you.

Taken at Sunset after a storm system had moved through the area.  Just after I took these, the engineer sounded the horn and moved out to cross the Hannibal bridge.  Kansas City, Missouri, US.

At the moment, this is my favorite from my road.  A trio of MP15's drifting downgrade around the curve in the Schuylkill River.

BTW a_batey, that is a terrific weathering job on the concrete viaduct.

A Few of My Favorites

A few of my favorites from my layout.

Yup, that's an antique Atlas FMC-liner from the early days, still running up mileage on the layout.

Love That River
I love that river, Jim.  Wish I had been brave enough to try one but past experience told me to avoid water this time! Tongue out

It does look very nice. One of our member did it from photos he took on an outing. I should take a square shot of this viaduct so you can see the backdrop through it. They area will look alot better with some gum trees around it in the future. I thinks that is what makes our layout so interesting is all the backdrops were painted by an artist (one of our members mothers.)

Turntable Shot

That turntable photo reminded me of this one. I took this while in Tasmainia (australia) on a fishing trip. Me being a railway fan i made my father take a day away from the fishing and took him on the west coast wilderness railway. An old copper mining and logging railway usint the abt cog system. There is a few more pics at my Flickr site

Ugh, I wish the thumbnails were working..  But here is one of Western Maryland Scenic Railroad number 734.  It is a great 16 mile ride up the mountains of Western Maryland from Cumberland to Frostburg and back (another 16 miles).

I took this during the summer at my favorite camping/train watching spot. It's Northbound ONR SD75I 2102 at Mile 13 Ramore Sub. It was pulling 40+ cars all by itself. The black flies where horrible that day.
